The four courses
- ERAS Quality Improvement. Seven modules and 36 micro lessons on the whole enhanced recovery pathway, from preoperative optimisation to audit. 6 CEUs self paced, 15 CEUs blended.
- Clinical Audit for Quality Improvement. Five modules anchored to SaLTS indicators, MPDSR and the national CPD directive. 3.5 CEUs self paced, 11 CEUs blended.
- Evidence Based Medicine and Clinical Decision Making. Five modules on asking, finding, judging and applying evidence, with free access through HINARI and Cochrane. 3.5 CEUs self paced, 11 CEUs blended.
- Teamwork, Communication and Interprofessional Collaboration. Five modules on SBAR, closed loop communication, speaking up and team meetings that work. 3.5 CEUs self paced, 11 CEUs blended.
Program Structure
- Each course has a pre-test, micro lessons of five to ten minutes, branching scenarios set in Ethiopian hospitals, a post-test graded at 80 percent and a certificate.
- Lecture decks and printable ward tools are inside each module, and participant and facilitator guides support blended workshops.
- CEUs follow the national CPD Guideline and the Ministry of Health Digital Learning Guide for CPD Programs (June 2025): one CEU for each hour of accredited learning, at most 15 from a single course. Self paced completion earns 6 CEUs for the ERAS course and 3.5 CEUs for each of the other three; the blended programs with facilitated workshops earn 15 and 11 CEUs. Credits are awarded through the accredited CPD provider.
